Never had much of an issue with broken consoles, since I own mostly Nintendo ones :P
The few that have broken:
Xbox 360 (surprise surprise...) - actually wasn't the traditional "red ring of death." The console itself still worked, as it would play digital content, but the disk drive specifically just decided to stop working. Thankfully this happened right as MS came to their senses and decided to fix their defective consoles for free, as it should have been from the beginning.
Dreamcast - Played on and off for awhlie, then just flat out stopped working. Recently bought a new one for like 25 bucks, couldn't resist.
NES - broke down way back, like 15 years ago, so I don't remember much of the details. We went to have it repaired, and haven't had an issue since, still works great.
