i buy first party first. what other reasons are there to purchase a console? exclusives are the main selling point for a console, so they are the high point of discussion when it comes to the console wars.
not to mention exclusives are ammo, while multi platform games are subjective to consumer taste per platform, thus not being so much of a lighting rod when it comes to the war.
