If you've been wanting to play games right now, then I can't blame you. Just having a Wii U at the moment doesn't seem very fulfilling. I could better understand the "wait and see" advice others are giving if you had another active console. In my opinion, you should keep that PS3 until at least The Last of Us releases, and maybe beyond that depending on what third party publishers end up doing. Sony is still supporting the PS3 big time through this year.
