the architecture of the GPU used in consoles will have very little effect on the performance of games on PC. The environment is very different on PC and the level of abstraction you have with DirectX limits the specific optimisations devs can do. Nvidia still has it The Way it's Meant to be Played program and while AMD have made strides with their Gaming Evolved program in recent years half the games will still be optimised towards Nvidia cards thanks to that and the other half can ill afford to neglect Nvidia for long due to their greater market share compared to AMD.

Price, performance and drivers are the factors you need to consider not which hardware is used in consoles.
