To finish... there is no AI withou parallel processing... so GPU works better with that than CPU.

As someone who specializes in AI (Machine Learning specifically, but hey, I had to learn other types as well) I want to know exactly WHICH AI algorithms can't be done without parallels. I will make it easy and just ask for a very broad area of algorithms as in: backtracking, planning, k-nn, optimization, etc.

 

I will give you a warning now. I work/ed on a machine learning library whose aim was/is to be by far the fastest/most efficient one out there.

I want a show of hands of PC users who have actually been bottlenecked by their memory. Not the capacity, but the speed.

I do like how Sony just had to say "ZOMG GDDR5!!11" and all of the sudden we have a hundred memory experts on the site.
