Lol don't you mean software?..........

Fact is CoD 3 looked a hell of a lot better than anything available on either the PS2 or Xbox, same with CoD 2. The Wii U currently offers NOTHING that looks superior to the existing consoles.
Oh right because the Wii U is showing us game demos that look as good as Shadow Fall....Oh wait......It looks like DF are quite obviously right on this front. If you think a HD4650 can keep up with a HD7850 you shouldn't try to discuss hardware.

Well DF and EA seem to think gens are defined by power. Either way the Wii U has shown us nothing superior to the existing consoles, hence why it's launch has been a total bust. People weren't speculating the downfall of Sony with the slow sales of the PS3.

Who are you talking to? Because I never said anything about inter-generational gaps. I said COD2-3 weren't representative of the potential of the PS3/360, just like current Wii U games are not representative of its potential. How about responding to that instead of going off on a tangent about something I never said?

The idea that graphics define generations is an obsolete concept, a relic of  the 20th century. It died back with the DS/PSP, and the Wii was the nail in its coffin.

And you're wrong by the way, Trine 2 Director's Cut graphically exceeds the capabilities of the PS3 and 360.

You're not reading what I am saying.
CoD 2 & 3 were clearly superior to anything out on the PS2/Xbox/GC. The Wii U has shown us NOTHING that is superior. Therefore it's potential obviously must not be a lot if the release titles do not show us an improvement over existing consoles. This makes it's launch far weaker than the PS3's.

"A relic of the 20th century" Erm how? DF and EA's CEO say you're wrong. Either way try not to digress.

Trine 2 is not noticably better. It's such a small amount it hasn't impressed anyone and no one is calling it next-gen. Can you say the same about the PS3's launch titles?

You're not reading what I'm saying. I'm not talking about the intergenerational improvement, I'm talking about intragenerational improvement.

Look at the improvement from the PS3's launch games to its current games. The difference is striking.

Like just about every console, the Wii U will also show a striking improvement over its current games.

To compare 6th/7th year PS360 game to rushed, launch port Wii U games is not an accurate comparison of system capability.

Here's what a PS3 launch title COD looks like:

And here's what a Wii U COD launch title looks like:

Now there's a fair comparison; launch port COD to launch port COD.

And it's a relic because it's not definitive any more. The Wii, DS, PSP, and Wii U have all bucked the trend,  so it's not longer an all-encompassing definition.
