You just keep proving my point for me. The improvement the new gen brings is more stable resolution and fps. Its only raw power. That is exactly the point. Theres no new technology, there is only more powerful versions of the current tools. Instead of say 40 pixels you can do 80 pixels aka better textures. There is no clearly visible improvement like much better character models and animations. Yes, the models may be improved in texture resolution, but there is no distinguishable difference unless you grab a magnifying glass of look really closely at the TV. Now compare this to say the improvement on God of War's Kratos model from God of war 1/2 to God of war 3 and Ascension. That is a dramatic visible improvement. And its not the kind you need to look really closely at your TV to be able to tell.

Its a smaller improvement comparitively. There really is no case to the opposite. The proof is right in front of our eyes, literally speaking. The improvement of console specs has hit diminishing returns due to human limitations.

I don't prove your point. You're being in denial. ¬_¬

You stated that the graphical leap isn't as big as between the other generations. I illustrated that it is. What your eyes think is beautiful or not doesn't change that. The leap in power between the PS3 and the PS4 is still roughly the same as it was between the PS2 and PS3. I don't need a magnifying glass to see how much of a leap there is between the 2 gens.

You mention character models in God of War 3. What you fail to realise is that Kratos and the bosses that are fought in constained areas were the only character models that had this amount of polygons and texture quality. On the PS4, with its power leap over the PS3, all character models and assets in the games can potentially have the same amount of polygons and detail as one another. The landscape will see the same kind of leap as well, where pop-ins will be much less noticeable than current gen, coupled with a much farther horizon point with details going much further than what you see on the PS3 and 360. All of which will come with much improved physics and lighting effects. Where games on the PS3 could have, for example, only 2-3 light source affecting the assets dynamically, the PS4 will manage a whole lot more than that. Unlike most of what you see on the current gen, where most lighting is pre-baked, the PS4 will render it dynamically on the fly... That's just examples.

But why am I arguing with you... You think X is comparable to Killzone Shadow Fall, and your eyes probably can't even see the foliage that's behind me on my avatar picture...

What i think is irrelevant and i already said that. You are stuck in a loop where you dont look at what is obvious. Not to me, but to everyone.

There are limits to human eye capabilities, wether you find that aceeptable or not, i dont really care. But the only fact here is you are treating a generational leap like a set of numbers instead of reality in front of your eyes. I really would dare you to try and sell the PS4 with those cold hard numbers and say to the consumer how its so much bigger cause the numbers are a bigger leap. It just doesnt work that way when trying to sell a product to anyone that isnt a tech savy. Heck, look at the Vita.

Yes, there is a limit to eyes capabilities. Ha ha ha. That argument... Ha ha ha!

The PS4 is now capable of displaying graphics like the ones I have on my PC. Which are certainly a leap at least as big as the one from the PS2 to PS3. My eyes certainly see much more detail than what 720p can offer, that's for damn sure. The eyes can see a whole lot more than what 1080p can offer, by the way. So your argument is quite laughable. Go out of your home, and look at the grass.  Count the individual blades. Consoles aren't there yet, are they? But the PS4 is certainly getting nearer and nearer to that point, because yes, its leap over PS3 will allow a much higher amount of intricate detail like that.  Crisis 3 on PC is a pretty good indication of what's to expect. ^_-

Deep Down at E3 was said to run in real time. This game alone is proof enough to my eyes that the leap is a pretty big one.

But I understand where you are coming from...  After all, the Wii U, your console of choice, doesn't offer much of a graphical leap over the PS3, and look how well it's selling, right? ¬_¬

I see your knowledge is somewhat lacking on the biological department.

You may bash the Wii U if it pleases, but if you had even bothered looking to the left of the screen you would see that i dont even own one and that i am enjoying my Vita quite alot at the moment. The hints of fanboyism here are not coming from me.

And for the record, its general knowledge that the Capcom trailer was not real time. It was CG and it didnt fool anyone, well except you it seems.
