GoW: A scores disappoint; Is it time to worry about The Last of Us?

I agree somewhat but I refuse to buy a game day 1 if it's sub 84. Not paying $60 on a game that's only good, and I believe a lot of people are the same way.

im waiting it to hit the $20 mark like with every other PS3 games lately.

every GoW has been worth $60 for me (well maybe not CoO but I got that in Saga anyway so it was cheap).  You know why?  Because even though they're SP only (and I'll likely only play SP on Ascension) I go back to them once a year at least.  They're epic adventures just like Infamous 1 and 2 and Resistance 3 which scored 85, 83, and 83 on meta respectively, yet I enjoyed them more than any COD or AC this gen.  Hell R&C ACiT is my favorite game this gen and it got an 87 while Demon's Souls, NHL, COD, Madden, Dishonored, Limbo, and many more scored above that and I didn't really enjoy any of them that much.  What I don't get is series fatigue applies to a game that got its last installment in 2010 and adds MP, yet Halo, Cod, Madden, and NHL all score higher when they've changed very little in their yearly releases (ok Halo has at least tried with Spartan Ops and a stronger story in 4 and Reach).
