IGN's reviews will play an important role. A lot of people go there for 'wisdom' and treat their reviews as gospel. Hopefully it pulls out a 9 since 8 is seemingly unworthy of the masses these days.

for a AAA game, you expect it to be at least a 9.   Or how did you expected Halo4 to be reviewed? with 8s?? I really think you expected it to be an ultra masterpiece that should be rated accordingly.   I think like that, but with GOW:Ascension.   It deserves better score (the demo, leaked playthroughs, and videos are spectacular for me), so hopefully IGN will give it a 9 to bump up the overall score.

I saw you on Lifestyle. I thought you were going to send a nuke at the reviewer's house if he didn't bump the score up from 8.5 to 9. :D

I was pissed when I saw the score.  I am calmed now, but still this game deserves better!!!

Relax mate, Gran Turismo 5 got 84 meta and it sold insanely well. The main reason I care about meta is for the developers. You know they're watching and you want them to be.. happy :P. This should get them to up their game even more, so yeah, it's not all bad.

as long as this games sells at least 4M or more it is "fine".
