1.2394933934 - thats how much I care about your sources.
Hi, I told you to list a game that was comparable to the ones I listed from Nintendo that is from Sony/Microsoft - you instead decided to go ahead and post about something else - so I provided you the top most sold first party franchise/game from each side. Again God of War 3 and Halo 3 does not match up to what I was looking for but nice try.
The logic is why should you a average gamer worry about what someone calls a system that hasnt even been relevant to the industry in terms of sales impact hardware wise ever since the PS2 took its stage. That is my logic - you shouldnt worry about such little things and even going as far as making a rant about it on another topic.
Again...I'm going to ask why did you quote me and mention the Wii-U when it had nothing to do with the topic at hand, this whole discussion wouldnt happen if you didnt do that. Even the OP himself few posts ago asked why did the discussion bring up the Wii-U.

Well if you're going to dismiss sources for literally no reason, I'm going to end this conversation as clearly you don't want to actually have a mature, logical debate.
If you want to debate why you should call a console by the dev name, take it to PM'ing as you are now just going off-topic.

Mature logical debate lol. You are funny.
I love how you are avoiding my question - why did you quote my original post which is relevant to the topic and responding to it about the Wii-U which isnt even what the OP wanted to talk about.
What gives Nintendo games such massively drawn out sales periods and 8year long shelf lives?
And why are certain Nintendo franchises absent from these patterns? (Zelda,Fire Emblem)
I answered the first part - you didnt when you quoted me , instead you used the Wii-U as a argument when this thread had nothing to do with sales.
People didnt want to debate when they called the PS1 PSX, its how their gonna refer the system, its their preference. You cant change people like especially with the route you used. I did not go off topic at all. I asked you the same question and I'm asking you the question again.
What part of my original posts (first two) where I stated that its because of Mario being known and loved by the masses for years considered to be a wrong statement/opinion to the topic. What part of my post was wrong, please explain it to me without mentioning the Wii-U which is irrelevant to the main point of the topic. See I am staying on topic - you are not.

I edited and replied:
"You said the Nintendo franchises are loved by the masses. I said if that was the case, surely the Wii U would have sold more. In other words, Nintendo franchises are not loved by the masses, evident by the low Wii U sales. "
What gave other Nintendo games such long legs is the complete lack of sequels Nintendo do. If you want to play a popular FPS on the 360, you get the latest Halo, not Halo 3. This has become more apparent with the MP generation we live in. You don't get an old game if it has a stong MP element as those players will most likely have migrated onto the sequel.
If you want to talk about calling a console by its dev name, take it to my wall/messages as it's off topic. This is the last time I'm addressing that point.
