Did you use play multiplayer before XBL and PSN?

I can't possibly list all the games I played in MP or Co-op in, that's way way long of a list since I've been playing video games with my brother since we were kids, we also spent a lot of time at the arcades, like holy fuck did we play a lot of games together lol.....
