So it's widely known as a fact that many Nintendo games have ridiculous legs. But here's the question that no one really bother to ask...why is this so?

The PS3 was pretty much the cheapest blu-ray drive when it first released considering most blu-ray players were near $1,000.  Also, most of those old blu-ray players have compatibility issues.

So basically the PS3 was the best blu-ray player at the time and it played games.
