reminds me of GoW 1 puzzle that had me stuck for ages when all it was is something small and simple I had over looked.

i also remember being stuck on the Kronos fight at one point when I was unsure what the game was wanting me to do.

had a similar problem with Shinobi on the master system and Shinobi on the PS2 with a certain boss.

had a similar problem when playing Zelda a link to the past on the snes where I was stuck due to a puzzle where you had to travel between the darkworld and the normal world.

had a similar problem on DMC1 when some back tracking was needed and I was unsure where to go and what to do.

There are many more examples of this on many more games, but for all the above, as frustrating it has been at times, it hasn't been due to bad design as much as it has been about either not having paid proper attention to some clues, missed out a small detail or 2 and or looking for everything but the simple solution.

Since we haven't played this, it is hard to say what reviewers will make of this, but one thing is for sure, so called journalists are making a big thing out of this already and usually this means they will not hold back, they will go all out to bash whatever they can followed by, "I am a GoW fan and I really wanted to like this, but...."
