bah if this is proven, I don't like EA again!
Weapon-specific ammo was allegedly switched for generic ammo late in development, too, as a method for shoehorning in the game's controversial micro-transactions.
Edit: The ending isn't a cliffhanger, because the problem is solved as far as anyone knows. unless you really cared about certain characters (Which the reviews hated).
