developers create the new experiences I want. Changing the way I input stuff into games is not the way I want my experiences changed. Sorry but Wiis best games for me were the ones where motion was not a focus (Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, DKCR, SSBB, Zelda TP). The motion crap almost ruined SS for me and I wish they wouldn't put in tech until the latency was gone because it was really annoying holding the wiimote out for 2 seconds before the sword on screen would go out. Stuff like Heavy Rain, Journey, Uncharted, Infamous, Beyond, Puppeteer, LoU, and other new IP is where I want my innovative ideas to take place in games. I love that they are cutting latency and dead zones and improving rumble as well as all the ergonomic upgrades on the controller. |
I respect where your coming from. I think Sony is best when they perfect rather than invent, letting the developers work on a consistent input system. I too am not a fan of motion controls except for very few cases like Scarface for Wii. BUT!!
A lot of posibilities exist and if one fails (motion controls) the others still ought to be explored. Speaking for myself of coarse.
