Why would it not? the 360 sold 1.6 million in Japan.

The 360 released in New Zealand, which is in a remote section of the world and has a human population of about twice that of the xbox360 population in Japan. Shipping the consoles to Japan will not be an issue.

The 360 was released in the UAE, which has a human population about 5 times that of the 360 population of Japan. If 20% of UAE own 360s (1 for every family of 5), it would only have sold as many as Japan, so shipping to non English speaking countries for 1.5 million consoles is fine.

360 sales in Japan are not actually low, it's just that other console sales in Japan are ridiculously high.

Why thank you for mentioning our humble little nation. However your perceptions of NZ and how xbox supports this are flawed. NZ isnt a big market but AUSTRALIA is which of course MS does want to do well in. And since NZ is right next door it is very easy for MS (and other console makers) to ship their products across to us for very little cost. It would be an entirely different situation if NZ were on their lonesome with no other developed country nearby (that would be likely to buy consoles).
