i think you have a different definition for longevity then a lot of other people...

Why? Explain. Educate me.

bro u already know. if ms stops supporting the 360 once the 720 comes out while sony still supports the ps3 then the ps3 has more longevity....it has nothing to do with the next gen release dates. I will admit tho, the 720 being announced so late is a surprise and the 360 has had a great and long life. I just dont see how it can outlive the ps3 tho. also, why did u leave out the xbox average in the op...

Hmm yeah thats how I understood it,  I even looked it up just to be sure :P Here's one definition: "the length or duration of life" Kowen is trying to say once a new console is release the predecessors life has come to an end which is far from the truth least thats what I think he's trying to say. Really you want to take the date the console was released to the day the console stopped being manufactured thats true longevity.

I'm not trying to say anything of the sort.  We are talking about two different things.

this is only about how long the consoles lasted before replacements.  What is so hard to understand?

the sensitivity on here to anything that doesn't reflect a certain company as the best at everything ever is ridiculous.

yeah man some people are sooooo sensitive :p
