I would rather them hire new people and expand honestly. Retro should hire a bunch of new people so they can release games more often. Apparently, they did buy a few people but not enough IMO. They need to expand all of their teams. They are already beginning to do this and the merging of console & HH teams was smart.

Retro just moved into a much larger building. I think they need to expand their teams, but that ain't enough, they need new dev's too.

And lol at the bolded part ^^

Why wouldn't expanding be enough? Nintendo has really talented people, Nintendo just needs to focus on some new IP's and stop doing 20 Mario games for every system. Wii U looks to be more "core" focused and the GC had many attempts at new games. They had Animal Crossing, Pikmin, Chibi-Robo, Eternal Darkness, Geist, Cubivore, and Doshin The Giant but only Animal Crossing & Pikmin were successful enough to continue on. I expect a new IP or 2 to be announced at E3 actually.

You know what I meant when I said they bought people...HA!

The reason that I don't think that it will be enough is that nintendo is going to continue to make mario games, that's just the way it is. The ead groups are going to be doing what they have been doing, making games in old franchises and a few new. The new MOAR dev's. Also: Image. If they could say that they bought bethesda they would get a lot more attention than if they said that they expanded ead.
