No offense but the battle system in DMC is more complex than Revengeance and the storyline actually has room for longevity. The level design is amazing for a hack n slash title pushing the limits of what they do and the amount of hours in expected dlc will only give far more. Its not equal by a long shot. Revengeance albeit a great hack n slash with a great cutting system lacks the depth and doesnt last. Very satisfying game for the time but I am more invested in DMC's storyline and I actually like my demon and angel evasion perks and parries rather than the broken parry system of Revengeance which has already been found. All you have to do is hold the left stick towards the enemy if you're doing a combo and they cant hit you. The break in the gameplay has already been found.

While I respect your preference for DmC, I don't agree with your "broken parry system" in Revengeance. You can't parry everything, you know. And sometimes, you need timing to parry or you won't do anything.

Sorry, i meant block mechanism. Parrying is something you actively must do but my friend found it in the left button, he says he found it out from a reviewer. Basically made the game ten times easier. LOL

You said it right xD Parrying is the "block mechanism" of the game. Yet I don't know the difficulty your friend is playing on, because on Hard and over, parrying does not solve everything.

Actually no. I caught myself after you reminded me, parrying is actively done while blocking is done by pushing forward towards your opponent. Parrying is something he actively had to do. I know it doesnt solve everything but it makes the game a lot easier.

Blocking and Parrying are done the same way, the only thing that may led to one or the other is timing. Parrying needs to push forward toward your opponent and press X or Square in the Playstation controller. Blocking is the same thing, yet you only need to push it when somebody is going to attack you. If you managed to push it when you are about to get hit, then, you parry.

It makes the game easier, but the game, unless you are not playing it on Very Hard or Revengeance, is very easy, 'xcept for the damned bosses, which in most of them, you can't parry/block everything and need to use the Evade maneuver.
