Seriously, though, considering all the people I've heard being stuck on their 3rd or 4th Xbox, that's pretty surprising.

But damn...they're set to go 8 years between consoles, and it's still selling relatively well. I expect the 360 and PS3 to remain a factor years after the next gen consoles launch.


I know, I expect it to RROD every time I play a game but it just never happens. Either I got really lucky, or I got the console that was meant to go to Bill Gates himself or something.

More like the other guy was trying to spread the same old bullshit myth.  I have a lot of friends who own a 360 and only 2 have had more than 1 replacement.  My non HDMI 360 failed after 2 years and its replacement has been fine for 3 years since.  If you treat your hardware like shit, don't be surprised when it breaks, which is my belief about people with 3+ 360's
