Dude that was one of the main complaints of MGS1. It was very short.

I have finished MGS2, 3 and 4 under 10 hours with no problem if I skip the cut scenes and there are insane speed runs on youtube under 1.5 hours.

MGS is anywhere from 7-12 hours. There is no way in hell you beat in less than at least 7 hours unless you're pro and skipping the cutscenes doesn't count. They are apart of the game. 

Cutscenes don't count as gameplay. But whatever keep thinking every MGS is a hundred hours.
