The thing about Wii Sports that made it so big was it was so unique for it's time. But it's an idea that's also had its time. Much like Guitar Hero and the above mentioned Nintendogs and Brain Training. People want something new. Nintendo thought that would be Nintendo Land. They were wrong. That's the risky thing about being in the fad business ... a lot of it is just dumb luck and the right timing. There's not much logic behind it. |
I disagree with this. Wii Sports was a great new concept that deserved its success.
Also, didn't Nintendogs sell 3 Million+ Worldwide? It obviously helped sell systems.
