You haven't explained yourself why you find shameful Rising to Metal Gear series, without having played it. I'm not contradicting you or anything like that. I'm just curious about why.

The Metal Gear games considered Metal Gear games (lol) in the canon story are:

• Metal Gear
• MG2: Solid Snake
• Metal Gear Solid (The Twin Snakes)
• MGS2: Sons of Liberty
• MGS3: Snake Eater
• Portable Ops
• MGS4: Guns of the Patriots
• Peace Walker
• Ground Zeroes

And Metal Gear Rising, which is canon too. You can ask Kojima. xD
