For me its the opposite, I am 40 years old and I don't want cutesy kiddy graphics and games. Nintendo have failed to grow up in terms of offering something different for the mature gamer. Nintendo also fail to do anything from the norm, its the same old tired genres and games, how many times can you release a Mario Kart or Platform game.... they fail to deliver new experiences while imho Sony continue to push the boundaries of new ip and different games.

But then its all a matter of opinion, but your initial argument is a bit weak to be honest....

I'm always dumbstruck when I see the bolded comment re-iterrated over and over again by people who say they have outgrown Nintendo.  You do realize that other people continued to have children after your parents gave birth to you right?  I mean, there are other generations after 80's kids.  So, you are looking for a different experience now that you are older.  Good for you.  But to say, "Nintendo has failed to grow up with me." doesn't make any sense.  You are stating that no child born after your generation deserves to have games made for it that you enjoyed when you were their age.  You are saying that you are the end all be all of the gaming market and that ALL game manufacturing companies must design their games catering to your likes and yours alone.  There are still children in the world today.  I see them walking down the street on Halloween dressed up as Mario.  Maybe some of you should remember that the next time Nintendo releases a new Mario game.  Just because you have played/seen it since Super Mario Bros. on NES, there are new generations of kids who are experiencing it for the first time.  Why should they be denied that because you think Nintendo's sole focus should be on the Grand Theft Auto/Call of Duty etc. type games that appeal more to you?  You've moved on to other gaming interests?  That's fine.  That's your freedom of choice.  But to say that's a failure on Nintendo's part is narrow-minded.
