You left out the Wii U's biggest problem: lack of 3rd Party Support. I feel confident when I say that's biggest reason people may not buy the Wii U. The cause of this lack of support is under debate even today. Some people say its because Nintendo consoles typically lack the power to run 3rd party games. Some say its because only Nintendo games sell on Nintendo consoles; or at least the type of games 3rd parties usually make wouldn't sell. And still many others genuinely believe 3rd parties have a deep emotional hatred of Nintendo and just wants to see them fail, even if it means consciously losing money.
Mind you I didn't read the first 3 paragraphs as they seem unnecessarily long for what was essentially an introduction on common knowledge, and aren't necessary for your points.
