I agree, Nintendo has so many shooters that desperately need online functionality.

3rd parties do.  1st parties is not the issue with nintendo. It is 3rd party that has issues because other platforms are better for them due to more features 

Last time I checked, third party games that need it are actually having online functionality. I don't see where Nintendo is blocking anyone in this regard.

And how is that comparison next to X360/PS3?  Side by side

 

Side by side, FIFA 13 has online multiplayer on all consoles.

Side by side, Call of Duty has online multiplayer on all consoles.

Side by side, Mass Effect 3 has online multiplayer on all consoles.

Side by side, Assassins Creed 3 has online multiplayer on all consoles.

Side by side, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has online multiplayer on all consoles.

Side by side, Need for Speed: Most Wanted has online multiplayer on all consoles.

Side by side, Fist of the North Star: Kens Rage 2 has online multiplayer on all consoles.

Side by side, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed has online multiplayer on all consoles.

Side by side, Resident Evil Revelations: Unveiled Edition has online multiplayer on all consoles.

 

That's all the games I know of.

 

I am mainly talking about feautures, not just multiplayer.

Why would you get a 3rd party game for the Wii now WiiU when other consoles offers a better version of it?  That is what im saying.  Not the case with every game but in many cases it is whether it is a simple feauture as chat or using the OS.  And while right now the graphics are similar to the X360/PS3 they will likely be behind again as the they bring out successors.  Which leaves third parties once again crippled compared to the other consoles.

The amount of features is entirely in third parties hand, so again, I don't see how it's Nintendos doing.
