So its pretty much a Netflix but maintained by Microsoft?

It's nothing like Netflix. It's an overpriced on demand video service where you can rent and buy almost any movie or TV show you want.

Do you think it is over priced?  I didnt really check the prices when I looked at it?  From what i could see it looks like it would be cheaper for people who dont watch TV much other than a few shows.  But for people who watch a lot of TV it would be a bad idea because then it would end up costing more.

I just checked it out, the selection has improved but it's too expensive.
HD episodes are 250 msp (180 SD if people still watch SD :) comes to CAD 3,62 per episode before tax (Canadian points still cost more, although our currencies have been on par for the last 3 years)

We pay about $90 a month for cable including HDPVR rental, that would be about 25 episodes, less then 1 episode a day between me, my wife and my kids. Plus the way we watch TV is, record a bunch of stuff, check it out, discard or fastforward if boring. Do you get your money back if the episode sucks?

Full season pass: Walking dead for example, 3380 points, equals CAD 50,01
You can get the blu-ray with free delivery for CAD 39,99

Plus I checked Gold Rush which we watch, it's about a month behind. It's on sale now, 'only' 210 per episode.
Good show btw, although Bering sea gold has surpassed it imo. (that one is up to date)

Sure if you only watch very few things and already know you like them then it's an alternative.
