The fact is that if one of the three stops making consoles, that doesn't mean that they will become a 3rd party developer, for example microsoft could just drop out, and not become a 3rd party developer. Thats why I think the article is wrong, because I do not think that microsoft will become a 3rd party developer. They are the top dog, and wants to continue that way. Sony will probobly think the same. Nintendo would probably go 3rd party. But I think we have a few gens left before that.
