Interestingly enough, the only year a mod won the championship was in 2009 (makingmusic476). This is the first time that more than 1 mod has made it to the finals in these matches. In fact, in the 2010 match, there weren't any mods in the finals or the semifinals for that matter. This is the first time that mods have even made it this far, which to be honest it makes sense because when I was selecting the new mods, I was looking for well established members who many users respected.

Exactly i dont know why people think the mods are only making it in becos they are mods (Hint people they where users on this site and great ones at that before they where ever mods) . Its almost like people think the mods just became mods out of no where and never had any friends or anything before that -_- .

I just wanted to add a little bit here.  

Last year at the time of this contest, Axum was the only one of us three that remain in this contest that was a mod.  I believe that both Smeags and Axum made it to the Quarter Finals and I made it to Semi Finals so it wasn't like we weren't building towards this.  I have no problem with anyone that wants to say that mods shouldn't be allowed in this contest, but I don't think that it's very cool when people try to dimish the accomplishment of how far we have gotten because we are mods.  It's not like we made anyone vote for us through threats or by begging people to do so for that matter. Well, I guess that I threatened Axumblade but that's another story...
