look at it this way, How would this stop the PSVita from being just another Mobile device that can run Playstation Software? I mean does it stop Sony from making PSVita only exclusives? I think its more about building up a true unfied Playstation "Platform" Ecosystem than it is about just one Mobile Handheld device, Imean even Yoshida even stated recently that its getting harder and harder for them to make it a real viable alternative to mobile devices that people are already using smartphones and Tablets as the #1 choice any way. the fact that Sony recognises this fact already show's that they may be looking at the dedicated handheld market in a grounded view, i mean they sell over 9 million xperia smart devices a sales Quarter. the PSVita is the least selling Mobile device they have! |
I dunno, I feel as a device, the Vita should function as a standalone product, which just ain't happening right now. Bundling it with PS3's and PS4's wouldn't help that, I think Sony would be better just to release a PSP-esque system if they wanted a cheap combination of a WiiU style device/ecosystem. Vita is too strong to just be bundled with the PS3 and PS4, but isn't strong enough to succedd on its own :/
