At first I thought this was all nonsense, that the name was pretty clear, but the other day I was at a games store, checking out the price of the Wii U, when my girlfriend (a gamer herself, very smart and educated) asked my why the thing was so expensive, and why Nintendo did not offer the controller on it's own... I replied "How would that work? You need the console". And she said that many people already had a Wii. She actually thought it was just an add-on.
