5. 12 monkeys, 1995, Terry Gilliam
My favorite Terry Gilliam movie and best performences of Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt imo. I love how the movie plays with you, what's real, what's not, maybe it could all be in his head. A great take on time travel, great story that leaves plenty to be discovered on repeat viewings and a great ending. The attention to detail in the sets deserves mention too, as well as the great camera work. My only minor gripe is that it didn't get the best treatment on blu-ray (edge enhancement ugh), but still looks better then the dvd and laserdisc version. (Yikes I have 4 versions of this one, hd-dvd as well)
