Wrong. The PSX and PS2 were about 60/40 to 70/30 when it came to their libraries shovelware in terms of favorable titles . The Wii had like 20/80 shovelware. Core gamers, tech enthusiasts and casuals all bought the consoles because the PS2 was the first with a DVD. The dominance of both libraries is legendary and you are undercutting it majorly. Nintendo had so many media people talking about how bad their shovelware was. Why might you ask? Nintendo forces devs to adapt to them, they dont allow devs to reach the heights they want to.
