I feel conflicted. I loved Halo: Reach, but I feel like Master Chief himself is the single-most badass thing about Halo and why I love the series to begin with. I would definitely grow tired of the franchise fast without him and Cortana.
As long as they stay true to the words that he isn't going away, and that they just want to reach out to expand the universe more, I'll be happy.
