I'd rather keep them in my collection, especially considering the crazy mark-up stores like Gamestop add to the them when they resell and they can keep reselling the same copy if it comes back in again. Its shady at best, I don't appreciate selling a game for 4$ only to find it on a shelf costing 30$ the day after. |
you only see the used games put down to $5 dollars less than that of a new copy. sometimes I see used games at gamestop for more than new older games at best buy or wal-mart. I always buy new. I think they should allow a little more indepth demo's, So people can choose wheather or not they want to buy them. Games that are not that long or worth the money should be knocked down.

Yeah, I went looking everywhere for Valkyria Chronicles for the PS3, it retailed for 300NOK brand new in stores but was nowhere to be found, I ended up buying one at Gamestop for 470NOK, that's almost a 60% mark-up over new retail price for a used title.
The worst part? The copy was defective, stops functioning at a certain level and I can't finish the game. Why didn't I buy the insurance? Because it would add another 50NOK on the ridiculous price and Blu-ray discs aren't known for scratching at any rate.
