I think the negatives of used game restrictions will outweigh any sales advantage. For those who prefer physical, even if you don't sell games, used game restrictions will be the equivalent of digital because the games will be tied to either your account or worse, your console. The same worry that anti-digital people have of loosing their access when the servers go down still exists, though there is probably a reasonable solution. Either way, I don't think all publishers really care or consider used games as big of a threat to their profits. Piracy poses a larger threat. Regardless the digital renaissance will negate any reason to push for anti used game measures. Increase digital sales will make used game sales loss completely irrelevant.
Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
