Keep the WiiU logo, but advertise it as Wii Ultimate. People will then relate to what the U represents. The Wii brand was too strong last gen to completley drop it.
The Wii brand is a dead well beaten horse at this point, drop it, star fresh, Nintendo U. And the U doesn't mean "ultimate", it means "you", it would confuse the message to now say it means "ultimate".

I can see why they kept the Wii brand, 100 million people have bought into it. The U however is a different matter, you descibed it as meaning "you". But how many people actually know that, the U could be stealthily changed to represent "Ultimate" which gives the impression of a more powerful console. Then money wont need to be spent on logo re-branding.
