It's ok. I can understand people not liking this game. But I do think the story was great, for what it was. The story is convoluted; so was MGS4 story, yet that one was praised. I'm not trying to justify anything, I'm just stating that, as a MGS fan, I did like Rising's story. |
My reply has spoilers, so highlight it :D:
Sam, have almost no upgrades, and yet he was able to defeat the dude that killed Vamp, the dude that stopped and Arsenal Gear, the dude that can throw a Metal Gear Ray through the skies. HOW THE HELL IS ThaT POSSIBLE?! It makes look all the achievements Snake and Raiden did in previous games like if they were nothing, like they were a walk in the park, when they obviously were not. "Oh look, the hero is so badass that can do this, this and that, and yet he gets almost killed by some random dude in the street DAFAQ? That is very wrong dude. Reminds of how Superman gets beaten by every evil dude, even though he is indestructible, invencible, ultrapowerful, etc. IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. And the last boss looks like taken from Splatterhouse, and not Metal Gear. MG games always have great character design, and this case the boss is a senator with nanomachines? FOR REAL?
