I think the point is much more clear with the Wii U, given that the price isn't over-inflated.  Nintendo most likely was just assuming games like Nintendo Land and NSMBU were going to keep the system afloat during the relatively slow months.

However, I do not really know how possible it would have been to release amazing games within the time frame unless they planned for it since before the 3DS launch.  But either way, if Nintendo was paying attention they should be able to do better when the next opportunity presents itself.  Which is pretty much every day before the other consoles launch.

Yeah, I think the price is pretty fair for what you get, so they got that right. They could have dithched the Basic kit though... NO ONE is buying that :P Could have released that one with Wii Fit U

The system really feels rushed. Day One update, slow OS, few games... I understand that they wanted to be first one out, but they messed up several things in the process.
