They didn't repair mine. It destroyed my Game Discs. I seriously never touched the console while playing but Microsoft said the games broke because I would be moving the damn console. I called the customer support numerous times but they never wanted to repair the box. I bought a new one which died on RROD, that one was repaired without a problem. But yeah, I bought two Xbox 360, no kidding.
But to be fair, I also bought three PS3, because I wanted to have all of them. (fat, slim, super slim) So after all, I don't think replacement units or consoles for collectors do change that much for the overall numbers. There will always be some people who buy multiple consoles, for whatever reason. It's not a phenomenon that concentrates on one single manufacturer.
