If the PS3 keeps this momentum going it can bode well for the PS4.

Wii u, what can I say. What is the problem?

I can only think of two possible reasons.. maybe more but these two seem more realistic.

Is it a lack of games? Is the wii u's lack of processing power turning the masses off?

The masses don't really look up specs and stuff.

I'd say more of a combination of price, lack of software, economy, PS3 and 360 getting major games this year, gamepad, Nintendo patch issues.

Not sure I agree with you on price. The PS3 is retailing about the same price (depending on spec) and that's the top selling home console.

In UK for example wii u basic £249, the premium £299 (Argos). PS3 is £179 for 12GB and prices range from £250 up to £325 depending on bundle. Is everyone buying the 12GB version? I doubt it but have no evidence to support this.

As for the economy, not so sure, maybe.

Ultimately Nintendo must drop the price ( and soon IMO ) so the response to that will reveal alot one way or the other.

As for everything else you said, can't really argue.
