Wow, a thread by richardhutnik complaining about Sony and games he's supposedly not interested in? You never see that. I'm absolutely shocked.

And yeah, NO IDEA why people would be looking forward to a game from the people who made ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. What gives? Almost no one's even heard of those games, and I'm pretty sure no one enjoyed them.

How about waiting AT LEAST until there is some semblance of gameplay shown, and it fleshed out some, before going ahead and putting it in your signature?  You know, let it develop some more before getting excited?

As far as Agent goes, I was hoping for it to come out and learn more.  There really hasn't been a decent spy game done ever, and it could of been first, breaking what had been the equivalent of the Superhero curse for games.  There was Sid Meier's Covert Action in the day, but it was ahead of its time.  That game was akin to XCom, but with spies.

Isn't Splinter Cell a spy game?

If not, a developer could easily make a good stealth game as has been done many times. Just instead of making the main character an assassin or government agent, make the peson a spy.

Splinter Cell is a stealth game.  What you have with an spy game is not only stealth, but also RPG elements where you interact with characters and so on.  Splinter Cell doesn't do this.  It is just they really haven't done that, like they hadn't been able to do a superhero game for a long time.  A big issue is scope, and trying to narrow down to what works.  Alpha Protocol, for example, ran into problems here.  And others don't even try to do this.  Agency promised this, but possibly ran into problems.
