But Nintendo fans don't buy Nintendo games for their graphics, Nintendo doesn't need any more of an edge to sell more than third parties because that happens anyway, and Nintendo benefits from third parties selling well on their system. Therefore, the alleged RAM crippling sounds more unlikely to me.

With third parties, they idn't see it as saying no to money because they weren't confident they would make money at all.

Is that why Nintendo fans fell in love with the game from where your avy is from? People loved "X" becaused it looked good (AND of course because it's probably Xeno2) and argued it WAS next gen. Ninjablade argued it looked just as bad as current gen and got a lot of hate for it, which only goes to show that Nintendo fans have no problem defending graphics...
