True, all of the Mario platformers are amongst the best games in the world. In fact, many say that Mario is the best franchise of all time. It is definitely the best selling. Anyways, this still doesn't explain why we have no new Mario platforming games for the Gameboy Color, or Gameboy Advance. We should have three for the Gameboy Color, and three for the Gameboy Advance, because there are three for the NES. The Mario platformers for the Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance would have been 2D, so it wouldn't have taken that long to develop them.
