the industry needs to move forward, you guys say. if Sony keeps running faster than it can, it will fall at some point. What can be the next gen? a $800 machine just because developers want to improve graphics?

Look, I am not hating Sony, but if they keep listening to Epic games for example, we will have another video game crash, but this time a financial one. I want gamers to enjoy the games, not the latest tech. If I want that, I should be buying the $1000 Nvidia, the best liquid cooled CPU, with thunderbolt transfer rates, and others.

The video game industry became bigger than the movies industry because people like me and you coulvreach a console for a reasonable price. Even games sell better when they are priced $50 or less.

Sony hasn't tried an affordable machine with the PS3 and PS4 (i don't think those 8GB of GDDR5 can be that cheap).

Explain me why the PS1, PS2 and Wii were the consoles that sold more than 100 millions units. In my opinion they were affordable, and the quality of the games were at the same level as the last gen and some of them above them. You give developers all the tech they want so they just focus on gameplay, and what they do is put more than enough effort on graphics. There should be better graphics, but why it shoud be a big jump.

Look, if you don't push the people to its limits, they are not going to create something new. Needs make mankind.

You guys are just thinking above the surface, below that there is a big mess.

But OK, you prefer an expensive machine and mediocre supergraphics games than something that you can afford without limiting the amount of games you can get in one year. At one point you will be paying for those games that have sequel and were good, leaving the new IP's in the basement.

Shame on you, gamers. Keep looking the other way when things get ugly.
