No if anything Sony hasn't done much of anything except for PS+ and the jury is still out on that as far as being good thing for the industry (it's good for gamers though).

If you want to see who pushed the industry forward you just have to look at Microsoft and see that they're the ones that were instrumental in completely changing the way we look at consoles (XBLA, Apps, DLC, Achievements, Demos, PC/Console multiplatform games, muliple SKUs with significant differences in hardware, etc).

Looking at next generation of consoles it wouldn't be a surprise at all if Microsoft introduces many more things that all console gamers will eventually take for granted.

Tru that, microsoft did single-handedly develope online gaming, DLC, apps, and demos. Those things didn't even exist before micro molded them out of raw materials, slapped a price tag on them & said "it's almost thanksgiving so let me feed you kids". Also- micro totally expanded the video game audience (more than nintendo btw)from 20 something males, to 20 something males. But they basically stole everything they know from Sony, so don't get your panties tied in a knot bro.

Son you're the one with your panties tied in a knot.  The original poster is obviously talking about console gaming and everything I said is true.  You should give Microsoft the credit it deserves as they pretty much forced everyone else to step up their game.
