Pretty sad that even with the OMG 8 GIGS OF GDDR5 that it can't do 1080p x 60 fps.

What's even more annoying is every lemming hyping it, even though the only thing that matters in the end is not theoretical numbers, but FPS and image quality, which the PC has already beaten years ago.

Of course it can do it. Guerilla Games just chose 1080p @ 30FPS. This demo was only made with 4gigs BTW and started development on PCs.

Amount of RAM does not influence fps... 60fps cuts polygons/sec displayed in half...

I never said it did. But Guerilla Games CHOSE 30FPS based on when they started this projuect which was 2 years ago. That was back when PS4 had only 2GB of GDDR5. If GG wanted to, they could make Killzone 4 60FPS, 1080p. But they're not because of the reasons I just gave. PS4 is able to do 1080p 60FPS...it just depends on what developers vision is for their games. Are they pushing the graphics? Are they aiming for that Call of Duty 60FPS smoothness?

Of course they can do 60 fps but then the game will look worse. Increasing fps is not a big thing while development but keeping all the same stuff at 60fps like 30 fps is a big task and most probably not possible by now. Why would they choose 30fps when 60fps would easily be possible?

Because it's easier. It requires less optimization and considering this will be a launch game, I think they chose the right thing.

you can optimize how much you want the amount of polygons is only half. let's take a fictional console that is capable of rendering 30 millions of polygons/sec. this means 1 million per  frame with 30fps but only 500k with 60fps. there are no hidden switches in  hardware that they can activate tomake
it render more. I'm not saying ps4 and nextbox can't do 1080p with 60fps but I feel many games won't and to me stable 30fps is a better target than 60fps with framedrops.
