It currently has more than the PS4 does.

It has more than the PS4 but the PS4 also isnt out yet. They also have another E3 to reveal more stuff. That doesnt bode well for the Wii U yet again. Couple that with Microsofts 720 launch and it seems worse, now doesnt it? Microsoft will show Black Tusks shooter for sure. 

Because Nintendo wouldn't possibly bother to reveal any games at E3, or talk about any major releases then, would they?

They will, but it will be too late since everyone will be just interested in the PS4 and the real next-gen games.
