How can they catch MS off-guard when everybody knew 3 weeks in advance that Sony were going to announce the PS4? And the upgrade to 8GB was rumored by several outlets like Edge. Seems to me like this is just Sony spreading FUD.


The announcement of the announcement(Like Inception O.O)  is what caught them off guard.


It might be that but the wording conveys otherwise.

In addition, a "senior Sony official" who asked to remain anonymous told the site that the PlayStation 4 unveiling this week "at first caught Microsoft off-guard."

I highly doubt you would get a complete W8 experience on that. Most probably just the kernel with modified top layers in a closed system.. it would be smart for it to share the same store as Windows 8/Windows Phone 8, though.
