You can't just "change your RAM to GDDR5" like swapping a T-shirt.
Unless MS go back to the drawing and every dev starts remaking their game, they can't just upgrade their RAM.

Anyone who dismissed it simply knew nothing about gaming. All new major engines need at least 8GB of RAM, so either the consoles matched, or they had no games.
